About us
Welcome to Little Roos Nursery & Forest Pre-School – a place where childhood is celebrated, curiosity is encouraged and every child is given the opportunity to flourish. Although Little Roos is a new venture, it has been built on decades of experience, passion and a shared vision. Our Manager and Deputy Manager have worked in education for over 25 years collectively, bringing a wealth of knowledge, expertise and genuine care to everything we do. Together, they have created a nursery where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn through play, exploration and meaningful relationships.
We believe that the best learning happens when children are free to wonder, discover and experience the world around them. That's why nature is at the heart of our ethos. From muddy puddles and bug hunts to den building and storytelling beneath the trees, we encourage children to connect with the natural world every day, developing confidence, resilience, creativity and a lifelong love of learning.

Inclusive for every child
Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. Our team has extensive experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, social, emotional and mental health needs, and a wide range of additional learning needs. We understand that every child develops differently, and we celebrate those differences. Through close partnerships with families and outside professionals, we provide nurturing, personalised support that helps every child feel successful, included and valued.

Nature is one of our greatest teachers. Our Forest School philosophy encourages children to explore, investigate, problem-solve and take managed risks within a safe and supportive environment. Outdoor learning is woven into everyday life at Little Roos, whatever the weather. Whether children are planting vegetables, balancing on logs, collecting leaves, building shelters or simply listening to birdsong, these experiences nurture resilience, independence, imagination and wellbeing while fostering a deep respect for the natural world.
